The National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (hereinafter referred to as the Food Assessment Center), established on October 13, 2011, is a public health institution directly under the National Health Commission approved by the Office of the Central Establishment Committee.
The establishment of the food assessment center is an important measure of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council to strengthen food safety work, and it is also an important infrastructure for the in-depth implementation of the Food Safety Law and the effective improvement of the scientific level of food safety risk management in China.
As the only national food safety risk assessment technical institution, under the correct leadership of the Party Group of the National Health Commission and the care and help of relevant departments and bureaus, the leadership team of the Center unites and leads all cadres and employees to perform their duties, pioneer and work hard, develop in the formation, innovate in the development, fully implement the four core businesses of food safety risk monitoring, risk assessment, standard management and national nutrition plan, and effectively play a leading role in technical support for the national team. It has made significant contributions to the construction of a healthy China.
