The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) of Nepal is the highest administrative body responsible for coordinating medical and health affairs throughout the country

As the national authority in charge of medical and health care, the Ministry of Health and Population of Nepal is mainly responsible for formulating health policies, coordinating the allocation of medical resources, preventing and controlling infectious diseases and chronic diseases, promoting equalization of public health services, and at the same time incorporating "citizens' right to healthy drinking water" into the policy guarantee scope. In major public health events, it undertakes the core responsibilities of epidemic monitoring, the release of prevention and control measures, and health guidance.
