How to measure a person's height with an iPhone
On supported models, you can use the Rangefinder App to quickly measure a person's height from the floor to the tip of their head, hair or hat. (You can even measure a person's sitting height.)
A person's height is being measured in the Rangefinder App, and the result is displayed above the person's head. The "Photo" button near the bottom right corner is active and can be used to take a photo of the measurement results. The green "Camera in Use" indicator is displayed at the top.
Adjust the position of the iPhone so that the person to be measured is displayed on the screen from head to toe.
After a few moments, a line appears on the top of the person's head (or the tip of the hair or hat), and the height measurement appears directly below the line.
To take a measurement photo, tap the "Take Photo" button.
To save a photo, tap the screenshot in the bottom left corner, tap "Done," and then choose "Save to Photo" or "Save to File."
You can easily access and share height measurement images from Photos or Files on your iPhone at any time.
