The story of Shih Tzu and Lee
 
There is a plum garden in Taoyuan Village, Baitao Township, Tongxiang City. The plum tree that grows in this plum garden has a huge fruit shape, red skin color, abnormal fragrance, sweet and delicious, and ranks among the plums. There is a claw mark that looks like a fingernail pinched on the top of the plum fruit, which is rumored to be the mark left by the beautiful Xi Shi.
   
A long time ago, in the Spring and Autumn Period, the Baitao area was originally the border between Wu and Yue. Here, there is a city in the country of Vietnam named Li. The Spring and Autumn Period was eventful, Wu Yue often fought, Yue was defeated by Wu, and Gou Jian, the king of Yue, had to retreat to Huiji and call Wu a vassal. Gou Jian suffered a great humiliation, tasted courage on his back, and vowed to avenge the shame. When he learned that Wu Wangfu was lewd and lustful, he decided to adopt the "beautiful woman's plan" offered by the minister's literature. He sent the virtuous minister Fan Li to Zhuji Ramie Village to find a smart and beautiful Xi Shi girl with a strong patriotic heart, and prepared to dedicate her to King Wu.
   
Xi Shi understood the intentions of King Yue. In order to wash away the shame of the country, she resolutely made compromises and married the enemy country. She studied court etiquette and silk and bamboo singing and dancing in Huiji for three years, and in the spring of this year, escorted by a group of handmaidens, she took an incense car and a BMW, starting from Huiji, crossing Qiantang, and going north along the ancient road. Along the way, I saw willows as green as smoke and spring flowers as fire. When they passed by the city of Li, they saw plum trees everywhere, snow-white plum flowers, clustered into balls, full of branches, like a sea of snow. Seeing this beautiful scenery, Xi Shi evoked a feeling of nostalgia for his homeland, and couldn't help but sigh in a low voice: "The plum flowers in the hometown lead to nostalgia, when will you return to the vast expanse?" ”
   
Xi Shi entered the Wu Palace, and Wu Wangfu was really moved by her beauty and stayed with him all day long. In order to win the favor of Xi Shi, King Wu always caters to her needs. The tributes sent from all over the country must first be selected by Xi Shi. In the summer of this year, the Yue Kingdom paid tribute to King Wu with a batch of plums. The husband immediately ordered the palace maid to give these plums to Xi Shi to taste. Xi Shi heard that this was a plum sent by his homeland, and he touched things and recalled the scene of roaming the pear orchard in spring. She really wanted to give birth to a pair of wings and fly back to Yue Country immediately, where would she still have the heart to taste these plums.
   
After a while, King Wu walked into the palace and saw the plums sent by the palace maid, restored and put them on the table, so he flattered and said: "Concubine Ai, why don't you taste such a good tribute fruit?" ”
   
Xi Shi replied: "This plum has been picked for too long, and the taste is not fresh." ”
   
"I order them to bring some fresh plums at once!" King Wu said that he wanted to pass on the decree.
  
Xi Shi shook his hand and said: "The two places are far apart, and it is difficult to keep them fresh when they are delayed on the road. I want to go to Li Yuan to pick and taste it myself. ”
   
I heard that Xi Shi was going to travel to Pin Li, and King Wu should obey. So Xingshi mobilized the crowd and selected a group of palace maids to accompany Xi Shi to Li Yuan. Xi Shi came to Li Cheng and returned to his homeland in a very comfortable mood. I saw that inside and outside the city, the plum trees were lined up in rows, and the heads of the trees were decorated with red plums, and the scenery was beautiful and moving. Surrounded by a group of palace maids, she walked to Li Garden. The ripe plums, green and red, densely embellished with yellow spots, covered with white powder, have an attractive taste. Xi Shi picked one casually, gently pinched the top of the plum with his fingernails, and immediately the juice overflowed and the aroma entered the nose. When you put it to your mouth and suck it, the plum juice is like sweet wine. Xi Shi ate several in a row, but he was drunk. Since then, people have named the plums here "drunken plums". Because "drunk" and "檇" have the same sound, and the name of this city is 檇李, later people called the plums here as 檇李.
   
It is also strange to say that since Xi Shi came to the plum garden, the plums grown here have a scar pattern on the top of the fruit that resembles a claw mark. People say that this is the nail mark left by Xi Shi when he eats the plum, and calls it "Xi Shi claw marks", just like the peony has the finger marks of the concubine, which has been passed down through the ages and is cited as a beautiful talk. Zhu Zhuyi Taishi of the Qing Dynasty once wrote in the "Yuanhu Song": "I heard that Xi Shi had pinched, and so far the claw marks have been added. ”
