The first time the Monkey King was born

The first time the Monkey King was born

This is a mythological story, according to the legend, a long time ago, the world was divided into East Shengshenzhou, West Niuhe Zhou, South Shanbu Zhou, and North Ulu Zhou. In the East Sheng Shenzhou Aolai country, there is a flower and fruit mountain, there is a fairy stone, one day the fairy stone cracked, rolling out of the stone an egg, this egg at the sight of the wind into a stone monkey, monkey eyes shot out a golden beam, to the four corners of worship.

The monkey can walk and run. When he is thirsty, he drinks some spring water from the mountain stream. When he is hungry, he eats some fruit from the mountain.

I had a great time playing with the animals in the mountains all day. One day, the weather is very hot, the monkeys in order to escape the hot weather, ran to the mountain stream to take a bath. When they saw the spring flowing, they followed the stream in search of its source.

The monkeys climbed and climbed, and when they came to the end, they saw a waterfall, which seemed to fall from the sky. The monkeys were amazed and talked together, saying, "Whoever dares to go into the waterfall and find the source of the spring without hurting his body, let him be king." Three times in a row, the stone monkey jumped out and shouted, "I'll go in, I'll go in!"

The stone monkey jumped into the waterfall with his eyes closed. He did not feel like he was in the water. Then he opened his eyes and looked around. He found that he was standing on an iron bridge, and the water under the bridge rushed between the stones and came out hanging upside down. The stone monkey walked across the bridge and found that it was really a good place, with stone chairs, stone beds, stone basins, and stone bowls.

It was like someone had lived in it not long ago, a natural house, quiet and clean, POTS, bowls, pans, POTS, neatly placed on the stove. There is a stone tablet in the middle, which is engraved: Flower and fruit Mountain, water curtain cave. The stone monkey was so happy that he quickly turned around and walked out and jumped out of the hole.

When the monkeys saw that the stone monkey came out without any injuries on his body, they were surprised and happy, and surrounded him and asked him what was going on inside. The stone monkey scratched his cheeks, scratched and smiled and said to everyone: "There is no water inside, it is a good place to live, we have a place to hide when the wind blows, and we are not afraid of rain." When the monkeys heard this, they jumped up and down with joy.

The monkeys followed the stone monkey through the waterfall, into the water curtain cave, saw so many good things, one by one fighting for each other, taking the basin to take the basin, taking the bowl to take the bowl, occupying the stove, competing for the bed, moving over and over until they were exhausted. The monkeys all complied with their promise to worship the stone monkey as king, and the stone monkey ascended the throne from then on, saving the stone character and calling himself "Monkey King".

Every day the Monkey King took the monkeys on a tour of the mountains and rivers. Soon three or five hundred years passed. One day while he was playing, the Monkey King thought that he would inevitably die in the future. He was so sad that he wept. At this time, a monkey jumped out from the group and said, "If you want to live forever, the only way is to learn the Buddha, the immortal, and the magic of the gods."

The Monkey King decided to go to the ends of the earth to find the immortal and learn the skill of immortality. The next day, the monkeys made a raft for him, and prepared some wild fruits, so the Monkey King said goodbye to the monkeys, a person supported the raft, and ran to the sea.

It was probably the Monkey King's good luck that the southeast wind carried him to the northwest shore. He got off the raft, boarded the shore, saw the shore there are many people are working, some catch fish, some play wild geese in the sky, some dig clams, some wash salt, he quietly walked past, did not expect, scared those people will throw things, run for their lives.

One day, he came to a high mountain, and suddenly from the trees halfway up the mountain came a beautiful song, singing something about becoming an immortal. The Monkey King thought, "This person who sings must be a god, so he followed the song to find him."

Singing is a young man who is cutting wood in the woods, the Monkey King learned from this young man's mouth that this mountain is called Lingtai Fangcun Mountain, seven or eight miles away from here, there is a three-star hole, the hole lives a deity called Bodhi master.

The Monkey King said goodbye to the young people who gathered firewood, went out of the forest, walked through the hillside, and indeed saw a cave far away, saw the cave door tightly closed, and stood on the hill opposite the cave a stone tablet, about three zhangs high and eight feet wide, with ten characters written on it: "Lingtai Fangcun Mountain slanting moon three Stars Cave." While he was watching, the door suddenly opened and out came a fairy child.

The Monkey King quickly stepped forward and made a low bow to explain his purpose. The fairy said, "Just as my master was about to preach, he suddenly asked me to come out and open the door, saying that there was a scholar outside, and it was you!" Come with me!" The Monkey King quickly dressed himself and respectfully followed the fairy child into the cave to the Dharma table where the master preached.

When the Monkey King saw Master Bodhi sitting on the platform with more than thirty children standing on both sides of the stage, he quickly knelt down and kowtowed. The master asked him why he had come, and when he saw that he had no name, he said, "Please call yourself Wukong."

The master called Sun Wukong and visited the brothers, and found a spare room for Wukong to live in. From then on, Wukong followed his brother to learn common sense of life, pay attention to classics, write and burn incense, and do some sweeping and carrying water in his spare time.

Soon seven years passed. One day, after the master finished his sermon, he asked Wukong what skills he wanted to learn. No matter what the master said about praying for God, praying for Buddha, meditating and practicing, as long as he heard that he could not live forever, he would not learn. Master Bodhi was very angry about this.

The master jumped down from the platform and pointed to the Monkey King with a ruler in his hand and said, "You monkey, you don't learn this or that, what do you want to learn?" Then he went over to Wukong and hit him three times on the head. He went to the inner room with his hands behind his back and closed the door. When the brothers saw that Master was angry, they felt very afraid and blamed Sun WuKong.

Sun Wukong is neither afraid nor angry, but very happy in his heart. That night, Wukong pretended to be asleep, but in the middle of the night, he quietly got up and went out the front door. After the third watch, he went around to the back door and saw that the door was half open and half closed. He was extremely happy and thought, "Ha ha, I didn't guess Master's meaning wrong."

Sun Wukong went in and saw the master sleeping with his face inward. He knelt down by the bed and said, "Master, I am kneeling here waiting for you!" When the master heard the voice, he got up and sat cross-legged and asked Sun Wukong harshly what he had come to do. Wukong said, "Didn't Master promise me during the day in front of everyone that he would let me come in through the back door in three watch hours and teach me the magic of immortality?"

Master Bodhi was very happy to hear this. I thought, "This monkey is really born of heaven and earth, otherwise, how can I guess my secret mystery." So he made the Monkey King kneel before the bed and taught him the magic of immortality. Sun Wukong listened attentively, understood with his heart, firmly remembered the formula, and kowtowed and thanked the master's kindness.

Soon three years passed, and the master taught Sun Wukong 72 kinds of magic changes and the ability to drive the somersault cloud, and learned this ability, a somersault can turn over a hundred thousand miles. Sun Wukong is a monkey, he likes to jump, so it is easy to learn somersault cloud.

One summer, Sun Wukong and his brothers play in front of the cave, and they want Sun Wukong to change something to see, Sun Wukong feels very happy in his heart, proudly recited a spell, and transformed into a big tree.

When the brothers saw him, they clapped and praised him.

When Master Bodhi heard the noise, he came out on crutches and asked, "Who is making the noise?" Why do you sound like monks when you are Shouting so loudly?" Everyone quickly stopped laughing, and Sun Wukong also restored his original form, explained to Master, and asked for forgiveness.

When Master Bodhi saw that Sun Wukong had just learned some skills, he began to show off and was very angry. The master told the others to leave, gave Wukong a hard lesson, and wanted to drive Sun Wukong away. Sun Wukong was worried and begged the master not to send him away, but the master refused to keep him and asked him to make an oath: never say that Sun Wukong was the disciple of Master Bodhi.
