The story of fragrant Concubine
It is said that during the reign of Qianlong in the Qing Dynasty, one day the emperor had a dream in which he dreamed of a beautiful Uyghur girl in the distant Western regions of Gushule (today's Kashgar), holding clay pottery in her left hand and a branch of sand jujube flowers in her right hand, smiling graciously.
The Qianlong Emperor was impressed by her smile and woke up the next day to find that it had been a dream.
Qianlong wanted to make the good dream come true, he sent his minister to the Western regions Gu Shule to look for this beautiful girl.
The ministers went through all the hardships to reach the Western regions, but they could not find the girl in Qianlong's dream. When they were in a difficult situation, they suddenly saw a Uyghur girl standing on the wall of the earth city, her left hand holding a clay pottery, and her right hand holding a jujube flower branch.
And see the girl's outstanding appearance, graceful, they took the girl to Beijing, married Qianlong, because the girl is called Iparhan, the local language means sweet girl. Coupled with the natural fragrance on her body, the Qianlong Emperor liked her very much and called her the fragrant concubine.
According to legend, after her death, her body was taken back to her hometown of Kashgar and buried in her family tomb according to Muslim custom.
