How to transfer from Android device to iPhone or iPad

Get "Transfer to iOS" from Google Play
If you don't have access to the Google Play Store, learn how to download "Transfer to iOS."
Before we begin
On your Android device, make sure the wireless LAN is turned on.
Plug in your new iOS and Android devices.
Make sure you have enough storage space on your new iOS device to store the content you're transferring, including the content on an external Micro SD card.
If you want to transfer Chrome bookmarks, update Chrome to the latest version on your Android device.
Start using Apple devices
Turn on your new Apple device and place it next to your Android device.
On an Apple device, follow the on-screen setup instructions.
On the Quick Start screen, tap "Do not Set through another [Apple] device" and continue following the on-screen instructions. You may be asked to activate eSIM.
Tap "Transfer Data from Android Device"
Find the Transfer App and Data screen. Then tap "From Android Device." If you've finished setting up, you'll need to erase your iOS device and start over. If you don't want to erase data on your iOS device, transfer your content manually.)
Open and set the "Transfer to iOS" App
On your Android device, open the Transfer to iOS App. If you don't have the "Transfer to iOS" App, you can tap the QR code button on your new iOS device and use the camera on your Android device to scan the QR code to open the Google Play Store.
To get started with the Transfer to iOS App, follow these steps:
Tap Continue.
Read the terms and conditions that appear and tap "Agree" to continue.
Tap "Send Automatically" or "Don't Send" to choose how to share App data with Apple.
Tap Continue and enable location access if necessary.
Tap Continue and enable notification access if necessary.
Wait for code to appear
On iOS devices, tap "Continue" when you see the "Transfer from Android Device" screen. Then wait for the ten - or six-digit code to appear. If your Android device shows an alert that your Internet connection is weak, you can ignore it.
Use code
Enter the code on your Android device.
Access temporary wireless LAN
Your iOS device will create a temporary wireless LAN. When prompted to join the network, tap "Connect" to join it on your Android device. Then wait for the "Transfer Data" screen to appear.
Select your content and wait
On Android devices, select the content you want to transfer and tap Continue. Next, set the two devices aside until the load bar displayed on your iOS device is complete. Do this even if your Android device says the process is complete. Keep the two devices close to each other and plugged into the power supply until the transfer is complete. The whole transfer process may take a while, depending on the amount of content you are transferring.
Here's what will be transferred: contacts, message history, camera photos and videos, albums, files and folders, accessibility Settings, display Settings, web bookmarks, mail accounts, WhatsApp messages and media, and calendars. Some free apps available on both Google Play and the App Store will also move. Once the transfer is complete, you can download any matching free App from the App Store.
Transfer phone number and SIM card or eSIM
When moving from an Android device to an iPhone, you can activate your phone number and SIM card or eSIM on your iPhone. You may be directed to the carrier's website to complete this activation.
Set up your iOS device
Once the load bar is complete on your iOS device, tap "Done" on your Android device. Then tap "Continue" on your iOS device and follow the on-screen steps to complete the Settings on your iOS device.

Make sure all of your content has been transferred. Music, books, and PDFS need to be moved manually.
Need to get an App previously installed on your Android device? Go to the App Store on your iOS device to download these apps.
If you need help transferring content
Make sure both devices are set aside until the transfer is complete. For example, on Android devices, the "Transfer to iOS" App should be displayed on the screen at all times. If you use another App on your Android device or receive a call before the transfer is complete, your content will not be able to complete the transfer.
On Android devices, turn off apps or Settings that may affect your WLAN connection, such as Sprint Connections Optimizer or Smart Network Switch. Next, find the wireless LAN in Settings, press and hold each known network, and then ignore those networks. Then, try the transfer again.
Restart both devices and try again.
On Android devices, turn off the cellular data connection. Then, try the transfer again.
If you need help after the transfer
If you are unable to log in to the Message or if the Message does not work after you transfer the content, please get assistance.
If you don't see apps from your Android device on your new iOS device, find and download them in the App Store on your new device.
You may find that your iOS device is running out of space even though you've only moved part of your content, or that your iOS device appears to be full even though the transfer is incomplete. If this happens, erase the data on your iOS device and start the transfer again. Make sure your Android content doesn't exceed the space available on your iOS device. Check the storage space on your iPhone or iPad.
