Entry and exit information for UAE visa
1. The main visa types of the UAE are: tourist visa, visitor visa, work visa, study visa, family visa, etc.
The stay period of tourist and visitor visa is 30 days. Since January 16, 2018, the mutual visa exemption arrangement between the Chinese government and the UAE government has come into effect. Chinese citizens holding diplomatic passports, official passports, official ordinary passports and ordinary passports for tourism, visit, family, business, transit, etc. can enter the UAE without a visa for 30 days, and can apply for a paid renewal at the UAE immigration department. If you intend to enter the UAE for work, residence, news reporting and other activities that require prior approval from the competent authorities of the UAE, you should complete the relevant procedures before entering the country.
The work visa must be issued by the local employer in the UAE, and it will be valid for entry within 60 days after issuance. After entering the country, you must go to the government-designated hospital for medical examination and medical insurance. After obtaining the medical certificate, you must apply for the residence visa at the labor and immigration departments.
The student visa and family visa are valid for entry within 60 days after the issuance of the visa. After entry, you must go to the government-designated hospital for physical examination and medical insurance. After obtaining the medical certificate, you must go to the immigration department to apply for a residence visa.
The duration of a long-term residence visa is generally 2 years and can be renewed upon expiry.
Special reminder: Taking advantage of the UAE visa-free policy to enter the country for work is a serious offence and is subject to legal sanctions, imprisonment, heavy fines and deportation. The majority of Chinese citizens should not enter the UAE to work illegally under the name of tourism or visit without a visa. If you plan to work in Afghanistan, you should fully understand the nature and content of the job, choose an enterprise with foreign labor cooperation qualifications, sign a written contract, and apply for a legal work visa.
2. Entry and exit
When entering the country, you must undergo IRIS SCANNING (commonly known as "eye scanning"), and after passing the test, you will get an entry permit. After verifying the correctness of the passport and entry visa, the immigration officer stamps the passport and then releases the passport. You must ensure that you leave the country within the number of days specified in your visa, otherwise you will be fined, the penalty for overstaying your visit, tourist and residence visa is AED 50 per day, starting from 10 days after your visa has overstayed; When leaving the country, stamp the exit stamp on the passport and release the exit (self-service clearance passengers do not have exit stamps). According to ABU Dhabi Customs regulations, inbound passengers are allowed to bring in 4 litres of spirits or 2 cases of beer (each case of 24 cans not exceeding 355 ml), a value of up to AED 2,000 or 200 cigarettes, 50 cigars or 500 grams of tobacco, a value of up to AED 3,000 gifts (including perfume) per person duty-free. When handling the import and export procedures of customs goods, necessary documents must be provided: bill of lading, packing list, commercial invoice, import and export license, certificate of origin, copy of business license, entrusted letter, tax receipt or tax exemption certificate.

Naturalization by residence
The UAE's citizenship policy is extremely strict, making it difficult for foreigners to obtain citizenship. The main provisions of the Afghan Nationality Law are as follows:
(1) A foreign woman married to a male UAE national cannot acquire UAE citizenship with her husband unless she has filed a naturalization application with the Ministry of the Interior and the marriage has been more than three years since the date of application and requires the approval of the Minister of the Interior. A wife who has acquired a nationality may retain her nationality upon the death of her husband, except in the following two cases: the wife is also married to a foreign person; Restore their original nationality or acquire the nationality of another country. In any case, a foreign man married to a UAE woman cannot obtain UAE citizenship.
Any person of full capacity who has been continuously and lawfully resident in the UAE for not less than thirty years, or for not less than twenty years after the entry into force of the Nationality Act (1972), and who has lawfully earned his livelihood in the UAE, is of good conduct, has no criminal record, and is proficient in Arabic may be granted UAE citizenship.
3. For special contributors in the UAE, they may be granted UAE citizenship without being subject to the period of residence specified in the above terms.
Requests concerning nationality are submitted to the Minister of the Interior, who commissions the study by an advisory committee which he decides to establish and which is composed of respected local citizens of each emirate. The committee referred its opinion to the Minister of the Interior.
