Customs of Argentina

1. Social customs

Argentines often treat guests with mate tea, guests should be happy to accept, and after drinking tea hard lips, to accept the host to give the blessing. Local people often give their guests and friends the most precious mate tea, cups and straws as gifts.

Argentines love sports such as football and love to compliment their favorite teams and sports in conversation. I like to be complimented on my children, on my own furnishings and cooking skills. The famous tango dance originated in Argentina. Kapok is the national flower of Argentina and is regarded as a symbol of beauty and happiness. The Brown oven bird is the national bird of Argentina, and its "construction skills" are excellent, and its nest is shaped like a "bread oven", so it is known as "baker".

2. Etiquette

Argentines generally shake hands when they meet guests on social occasions. Shake hands or nod when you meet someone for the first time. It is customary for men to hug each other when they meet their best friends after a long absence, while women hold each other's hands and kiss on both cheeks.

When visiting an Argentine home, send the hostess flowers, candy or a souvenir. Guests should wait until the host is seated and then leave after the host opens the door for them.

3. Taboo beliefs

Most Argentines believe in Catholicism, and some believe in Christianity, Protestantism, Judaism, and Eastern Orthodoxy. They don't like "13" and "Friday."

Argentines taboo chrysanthemum, only used in the tomb or in the funeral. They are generally reluctant to discuss controversial religious and political issues.

4. Eating habits

Roast beef and red wine are the favorites of most Argentines.
